The University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB) is pleased to announce the organization of the 1st International Conference on Efficient Water Purification and Reuse Strategies (EWPRS’2026), to be held on 29–30 September 2026 in Algeria.

This international scientific event brings together researchers, academics, professionals, and institutional stakeholders to discuss recent advances in water treatment, reuse technologies, and sustainable water management.

🎯 Conference Objectives

The conference aims to:

Promote advanced wastewater treatment and water reuse technologies to enhance water security and sanitation;
Address emerging pollutants, including persistent contaminants and micro- and nanoplastics, and their environmental impacts;
Support resource and energy recovery from wastewater within a circular economy framework, including bio-hydrogen and biogas production;
Encourage climate-resilient water management strategies adapted to arid and semi-arid regions;
Highlight digital transformation and smart water management for process optimization and decision-making;
Foster international collaboration between academia, industry, and public institutions for sustainable water solutions.
